not many hours are left before we go on to the next year. but this year's 31 dec seems much..like a normal day. not so much of all those emo 'oh it's gonna be a new year', hoho or maybe it's just cos it's not the countdown moment yet.

looking back, the year 2006 has not been as fruitful as i have hoped it would be, definitely not academically. it sucks to spend your end-of-year holidays thinking about how badly you did for your end-of-year exams, the last time i experienced this kind of feeling was when i was 7, when i got 27th position in class. but half a year later, i got 1st, lol. only if miracles like that will repeat.

and there had also been plenty of things that i wanted to do but just didn't do, maybe i inherit mum's habit of chickening out right before things. really, i agree raffles is a place full of opportunities, but all these opportunities are for you to discover yourself and grip yourself. i've been getting too used to having teachers telling me to take part in this and that back in dunman high, i realise in raffles i didn't take enough initiative to look for things myself.

urgh, what have i accomplished this year? when all my friends are looking back and saying how great this year has turned out to be for them.

it wouldn't be new year's if i didn't have regrets. -- william thomas

that day junyang asked me if i've ever regretted a lot of things and wished i'd done something else, which really got me thinking. i told him definitely i do regret over certain things, though not a lot, cos everyone sure regrets at one stage of life or another, but it's all about moving on.

and if there's one thing that i truly regret at the moment, that's not making the best out of my 2006.

but still, i should be thankful and appreciative for whatever i do have obtained from 2006, such as all those new things and new experiences that i've picked up, and the new people whom i've met.

so from now on, i'm not gonna regret a bit about 2006. the year turns out to be what the year is supposed to be. if given a second chance, i would still lead my 2006 the way i had, certain things are just meant to be.

and at this moment i'm very determined to make my coming 2007 a bloom.

xi wang ming nian hui geng hao.

cheers
