very very rainy these days. it has been raining blades and lames, as i told the fencers, lol. and the rain spoils my mood for going out, so didn't go out at all these days, just talked a lot on phone instead.
jason called me from airport that day before going hongkong, his reason being that he has plenty of free outgoing and he had nothing to do at that moment except waiting for his flight. lol which really surprised me. and so we talked about..erm SAT and CIP and some other stuff that i can't remember, haha, what a typical convo with 4h people (:
didn't take part in nus open in the end cos our poor teammate miss bernice ng had a fever. called her up to wish her get well soon and in the end i spent one whole precious hour of my life talking to her. and while talking i suddenly remembered this interesting convo i had with junyang one day while taking train home together.
junyang: you know some scientist has proven that if you ask why to a question and all the subsequent questions, you'll eventually form one big circle and go back to the first question again?
me: really? let's try let's try!
jy: ok why is your bag brown?
me: cos the manufacturer dyed it brown.
jy: why the manufacturer dyed it brown?
me: cos they ran out of red ink.
jy: you mean red dye. so why they ran out of red dye?
me: cos it was during singapore's national day so they needed plenty of red dye for making of the national flags.
jy: why was it during singapore's national day?
me: cos it was 9th august.
jy: why was it 9th august?
me: cos singapore's national day isn't 8th august.
jy: why is singapore's national day not 8th august?
me: cos when sir stamford raffles first landed on singapore.. aiya i give up la. and what was our first question?
jy: why is your bag brown?
me: oh, by the way it's actually green, a very dark shade of green (:
anyway so i remembered this interesting so-called logic and so i asked bernice to try it out too. haha nothing better to do.
me: why is bernice sick?
bernice: cos i caught a cold.
me: why did you catch a cold?
ber: cos i stayed in an air-conditioned hall for 4 days during raffles invites.
me: why was the hall air-conditioned?
ber: cos we believed that would be make it more comfortable for the fencers.
me: why *blah blah*
ber: cos they would feel hot.
me: why *blah blah*
ber: cos they were wearing thick suits.
me: why *blah blah*
ber: cos it provides good protection.
me: why *blah blah*
ber: cos the blade's sharp.
me: why *blah blah*
ber: cos fencing's an ancient sport dating back to.. oh no i don't know when and where!
me: urgh i give up, and what was our first question?
me and ber: why is bernice sick. oh man..
lol full of rubbish. and of course we talked about lots of other stuff as well. such as how upset we are that we still don't really know many of the other fencers very well, and training's probably gonna end pretty early next year, which means after that we probably will never have a good chance again to have our paths cross with the other fencers'. hai.
and also talked on phone with shiyi and fiona lee ming gui. plenty of talkings, but no meet-ups, heh.
got a new phone yesterday. nokia. i've been using nokia phones all my life so never intended to switch to any other brand. and my new phone's such a pretty baby <3 <3
