if you start your elucidation backward like what i did and conclude that D is probably sulphur dioxide, then we should be glad that we still have a tiny tinge of chemistry left in our degenerated brains =p but after that we realise we don't know how to move on from there. don't worry, because the answers are A - chicken, B - egg, C - cooked egg and D - rotten egg.
years of education have given us plenty of knowledge, but also bestowed upon us the ability to complicate the simplest things in life. maybe sometimes we should take a break and tell ourselves that many things in life are just as simple and universal as the fact that chickens come from eggs.
