HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY ELY :D :D :D
do you have a birthday wishlist or something for me to refer to? (:
it's been a year and 6 days since my A levels ended. this must sound so cliche but TIME REALLY FLIES. before i know it, even chuchu is done with her a's already. i keep having this feeling that i didn't achieve much for the past year. like seriously! i only studied for 3+ 4 months out of 12? i've never not studied continuously for so long for my entire life since p1 la haha. but again, how much you achieve in life shouldn't be measured by how much time you spent studying. cos through uni and scholarship applications and the various jobs, i've learnt a lot of stuff that i would never imagine coming across before.
and i feel that this semester has been well spent (: i actually feel proud to be a student of nbs hoho (: everyone around me is smart and hardworking and i don't feel any less stressful now compared to last time in rj. and nganching agrees with me haha. it feels like everyday is a fulfilling day because you're always learning something new, from the profs and from your friends. having completed
i wanna give myself a good pat on the shoulder, regardless of whatever grades the teachers may decide to give me.
i was actually quite concerned about whether classmates and i will be allocated the same tutorial groups again for next sem. but so far it seems like we will be (: i don't feel like meeting any new people for the moment so that's a good thing (: but i don't know if we should stick to the same project groups again, cos i'm quite afraid that doing another sem of projects together will jeopardise our friendships somehow. hahaha.
friends from the hall are smart and hardworking people too. like what junhong told me, you have to work hard in uni cos it directly decides whether you get a good job next time. haha junhong and his grandpa story. but it's true la.
and this holiday is so not going to be slack with hall stuff going on (: ihg trainings, canvassing with the cgls and the other focers, working with the cgls on our proposal to SDU, and definitely lots of other stuff like piecing a jigsaw puzzle and watching videos and going out for suppers at midnight and looking for and after a sunflower? haha.
differences between rj and ntu people sure exist, but i like both equally much la ok (: and mum still feels bad for not letting me go overseas to study hahaha. but i really wanna tell her that i'm equally happy here, if not more. well of course i'm not happy 100% of the time, there has never been a time when i can be 100% happy anyway haha. but i don't regret a single thing, really.
i met wanqing just now! overjoyous! holidays are so meant for old friends (:
