as i trained with my chess players these days, and as i had random games with max and daniel, memories of how i first started playing chess as a little girl came back to me. coach taught us that you should never take back a move, so make sure you think it through thoroughly before raising your piece. and we learnt that silence is golden, both for the players and for the observers. after not having played chess properly for years, the liking for the game suddenly got realised again. i always thought that i've lost the passion that i once had, but now i know it has always been in me. and the lessons it has taught me are long lasting. i really like myself when i'm playing chess, how i can focus and really focus, how my mind is occupied with moves pictured in advance, how i will never resign and play till the end even if i'm only left with the king. things like these, they make me proud of myself (:
and a competition may just last a day or two, but the happiness that you created for a friend, it goes a long way (:
and lastly, 急流勇退,i think that's something we should all learn to do from time to time.
by the way, zixian's coming back today i think! :D
