a friend received a call during our class today, she was informed that her grandfather just passed away.
my deepest condolences to her and her family. i hope she can overcome her grief soon, though i know that is never easy.
because for myself, even 4 and half years after the passing of my grandfather, i could still recall how heavy a blow it was to me. it dawned on me for the first time that people close to us could/would actually leave us one day. that is something that even the most optimistic people on earth can't deny.
i have always wanted to write a post as a tribute to mrs lky after her passing. but someone has done it before i could, and i thought there is no way i can say it better than he did, so i chose to be a reader instead of a writer.
Every night she would wait for me to sit by her to tell her of my day’s activities and to read her favourite poems. Then she would sleep.
how would you cope with this in the future?
i really regret sharing this with dad over dinner just now. i thought i saw a wet trace on his arm after he seemed to scratch his nose. he must be missing my grandfather.
treasure everyone around you ok. they are who make our life complete.
