namaste. nepal was amazing. (:

seeing mountain after mountain in front of you, feeling intimidated and uncertain of how far you can go but never giving up. and then seeing mountain after mountain behind you. (:

coming across angelic nepalese children who very shyly put their palms together to greet you namaste, and give you their brightest smiles when you feed them sweets. (:

befriending kind and hospitable nepalese trekking guides, who are multi-talented too. they are strong and climb mountains like nobody's business while carrying backpacks of >10kg. they are great cooks and cook delicious lunches for you. they pick fresh and sweet berries from the roadside for you to chew on when you're exhausted and hungry. they are multilingual, speaking english nepali japanese korean german mandarin cantonese etc. they play the traditional nepalese musical instrument and sing and dance to it for you. they sing songs while trekking and their singing beats that of any pop star. they can make sketches of you with a pencil. they teach you tricks with poker cards. they teach you valuable life lessons too. (:

having a nepalese friend knocking on your window at 5am in the morning, telling you 'good morning my friends, if you want to see the sunrise, you're welcome'. (:

gathering around a pail of warm water in the morning to brush teeth at the edge of the mountains 3525m above sea level. (:

meeting like-minded adventurers of all ages from all around the world who exchange their stories for yours. and if you don't speak the same language, all you need to do is greet each other namaste. (:

continuously getting confused over why you paid so much to suffer all the unnecessary sufferings. and then feeling amazed and awed by how much you've overcome. being proud of yourself for achieving something that you would never imagine you could achieve. knowing that your life will never be the same again. (:

we've experienced allll of the above. ((:
