hello! updates. (:

1. so i went to london last weekend to find matthew and mumu and jasmine. i love that city and i love the places that we visited. the buildings are awesome and so is the culture. i especially love the buckingham palace for its rich collections (british museum'll probably impress me even more), and st james's park for its serenity and squirrels. tower bridge was magnificent too. but one thing that makes me prefer warwick is the people here, they seem a lot more friendly and their pace is calmer. (: can't wait for the next trip there when anghee comes to uk. (:

2. went to coventry city centre thrice this week with yuanyu, which is a lot of times considering the fact that the bus trips to and fro take about an average of an hour. the city doesn't have many tourist attractions to offer except maybe a cathedral. but it's the nearest best place for shopping. the market's stuff are so cheap omg, even tesco dims in comparison lol. we've found our ideal place for groceries, minus away the part that we have to lug them back. and there's a sufficiently wide variety of shops there. we also managed to discover a 1 pound shop followed by a 99 pence shop, lol amusing much.

3. lectures have started proper this week. i really like some of the professors whom i came across, though some of the rest have rather strong accents. i finally started on my tutorials yesterday after being busy with god-knows-what for the whole week. i really really need to get out of my holidays mode asap, and i need to remind myself that i am NOT on exchange and that my tuition fees are NOT cheap. other than that, being back to school really feels awesomely awesome. x) i wish i could study forever haha. anyway the school organised a party for students of the four finance masters last week and i got to come across people from so many different countries. russia germany greece india japan malaysia kazakhstan ireland and many more. and everyone took the initiative to introduce themselves to new people and they mingled around really easily. hmm it's hard to imagine that in singapore cos people would probably just stick to their own circle of friends most of the times, right?

4. my cooking skills have reached yet another level this week, cos yiyi has been giving me intensive training. i feel quite embarrassed sometimes though, cos it's like i don't even know some of the very basic things. but it's ok, at least i'm learning new things everyday. yiyi is really an amazingly good cook. (: and the girls in my flat love cooking multiple dishes each meal, in addition to all the yoghurt and fruits between meals. which turns out to be a good thing cos they influence me to make myself eat a greater variety of food too. (: and and, i've actually lost weight since i came haha.

5. while the weather last week was scorching, the temperature took a pretty drastic drop this week and it's freezing cold now. which means all the winter wear that i brought can finally be on display one by one, yay. heard that it's already snowing at edinburgh, and i still wanted to visit scotland during christmas period. i don't know if i'll be able to take it haha.

6. feeling more detached from singapore with each passing day. i wonder how everyone is doing. and i really, really, really miss dad and mum, do you think they know.
