the first time i got to know about tuesdays with morrie was when the school made us watch its movie last year. at the end of it i was like crying into the shirt that cynthia lent me to keep me warm, lol. i happened to see the book in the library few days ago so borrowed it home to read and i thought it was sort of a different experience this time round.
somehow it makes me wonder what is everyone in this world working so hard for when really, you just can't bring everything along with you when you leave this world one day, whether it comes expected or not. does having ipods, pretty branded clothes, trendy phones etc matter that much after all. and why is everyone treating each other so meanly, do they really prefer to leave one day with all the grudges and hatred, or to see others leave one day with all the pain and suffering.
and morrie indeed reminds me of grandpa. i heard my grandfather had his last breath when everyone else was away from his room except his oldest brother, the only one left now among the 6 brothers. maybe like morrie he didn't wish to have his children witness him taking his last breath. and while there are such kind wise old men in this world who think for people they love even in the last moments of their life, why are there still such inconsiderate selfish childish kids out there who try to prove something to the world by destroying their lives by all means.
meeting ely later to pass her maths tutorials. and i like the feeling of having rj schoolmates living near me :) it makes me feel less lonely when the school's people come from all corners of the island. it makes me feel like part of my outside-school life is shared by someone, haha.
