hi! quick updates from where i last dropped off!
1. oxford with mumu was great! ok to do him justice, he made a wonderful company. (: minus away the parts where he would grumble a 100 times whenever i asked him to help me take a photo, and the parts where he scolded me a 1000 times for not doing sufficient research hence having to rely on him for ideas on where to visit. :p other than that, oxford was awesome. everyone in the town, be it the students or the gatekeepers, was so civilised and cultured and courteous, the entire aura just felt very different. and the buildings there were like, woah. i think i barely saw any modern building during my two days of stay there? old grand magnificent architecture were so ubiquitous i wasn't able to tell them apart anymore after a while. i really wonder how it feels like to study at a school like that, it must be indescribable. like what i told mumu, the entire school itself is a piece of art.
2. went to leamington on wednesday for the first time. met lewis for lunch at a thai restaurant where i had phat thai, omg craving ttm. then he showed me around the town, which apparently is one of the roman towns in uk, hence the full name leamington spa, just like bath spa. by the way i saw a rainbow after coming back to school! :D :D its both ends were visible but its centre wasn't, lol, but how often do you see a full rainbow with two ends (((:
3. dinner on thursday with warwick's singaporean masters students. ordered fish and chips and hence i got to eat fish for the first time since i arrived. another round of fulfillment of craving. sigh no wonder i'm losing weight these days. :p
4. last night i went over to yuanyu's place where we cooked curry chicken. after the very filling dinner we decided to take a stroll and hence we ended up at wangxi's place where we helped her settle her apple pie which was apparently too big for her own consumption. (: sigh why was i eating so much good food this week. (:
5. you know sometimes i really feel like a housewife. everyday i have to worry about cooking something different for myself, every other day i have to worry about what food items i'm running low on and when i should make my next trip to tesco, and every week i have to worry about laundry. thank god the hall hires people to vacuum our carpets and tidy up our toilets, otherwise i'll seriously have no time to worry about my tutorials. haha excuses, excuses.
(:
